xPattyCake was founded by Nanette Watson-Saes, an international business communication professional and a certified translator. In xPattyCake, Nanette has bundled her experience in international communication & marketing with her background in translation to offer a unique set of services to expats and international business.

Background
Nanette has worked in multi-cultural settings, dealing with international markets, colleagues and clients for the greater part of her career. A native to the Netherlands, born in Maastricht, Nanette also knows first-hand what it is like to be an expat having lived and worked in the USA, Canada and South Africa.

Experience
Prior to founding xPattyCake, Nanette headed up a team of writers and web masters responsible for content development for the Rabobank website. During her career at the international communication & marketing agency Hunterskil Howard, from 2002 through 2009, she worked as an interactive marketing consultant for international companies such as Nestlé, Philips, Yamaha Motor Europe, Adecco and Boston Consulting Group on various integrated communications projects. She also managed the interactive services department and spearheaded the development of the marketing resource management system eBrandPoint. While living in South Africa, Nanette was working as a translator and managing a subsidiary of a Dutch company in web development. Prior to that she was working as a marketing communications manager for a software company in Canada.
